Contact the Hub team if you still wish to join: teaching@cambriancollege.ca. \nZoom is a web based virtual conferencing tool that offers a stream of text-based messages\, voice and video chat\, and screen sharing across different geographic locations. Some applications of Zoom conferencing include meetings\, training events\, lectures\, and presentations all from any modern computer or smart device that is connected to the internet. Zoom provides an extremely easy-to-use interface for participants and meeting hosts which reduces barriers to communication among faculty members and students as part of online\, hybrid\, HyFlex\, and Virtual learning environments. \n  \nThe purpose of this Zoom pilot is to explore the benefits of Zoom might provide over our current virtual conferencing tool Skype for Business. Some of these benefits include; \n  \n\nHigh quality video and capture of any meeting or lecture.\nAutomatic recording and transcription of meetings.\nEase of use for external participants to gain access without in depth technical requirements.\nEasy integration into Cambrian College’s Learning Management System.\n\n  \nWhen:  \n  \nThis pilot is slated to take place during the Fall 2019 and Winter 2020 semesters. \n  \nIf you are interested in participating in this pilot\, please attend this orientation or contact Orville Andrews to discuss your involvement. \nShare this:
