Teaching Int. Students: Stereotypes and Generalizations (Episode 3)

Due to popular demand, Neil Shyminsky (Coordinator of English for Academic Purposes) will be reprising his three part series on Teaching International Students from last May 2018. If you missed any episodes or were unable to attend the entire series last year, now is your chance to register so you don’t miss out again.
Is it true that Indian students don’t have textbooks? That English is hardest for Chinese students? Or that Brazilians don’t have any concept of personal space? We hear a lot of truths, half-truths, and outright lies about how things work in other countries. In this session, we’ll review a bunch of useful (and some trivial) facts about the countries, cultures, and languages of our International Students.
Upon completion of the 3 episodes, participants will receive a button for their lanyard.
