SUMMARY:Research Findings: Student Motivation and Engagement in Gamification
DESCRIPTION:Registrations are now closed for this event. Contact the Hub team if you still wish to join: teaching@cambriancollege.ca. \nPresented by: Laura Killam\, Katherine Timmermans\, and Sidney Shapiro \nLast academic year Katherine and Laura implemented gamification in two first year nursing courses. \nTo find out student perceptions of how gamification shaped student motivation and engagement within these two first year Nursing course learning environments a formal research study was conducted. \nThe results of a survey and one in-depth interview will be shared during this presentation. \nIn addition\, a number of important considerations for equitable game design that may inform future game design in a variety of contexts will be discussed. \nShare this:
