SUMMARY:Pineapple Project Revival: A Faculty Showcase
DESCRIPTION:Come and see some amazing colleagues showcase teaching best practice in a variety of different ways! \n9:00 am – 9:30 am: Have you ever tried an EdTech tool and said to yourself\,  “Wow!  This is a great tool. I should tell other people about it.”  Me too!  In this interactive workshop\, Michelle Zerwer will walk you through some of the ways she uses Padlet in both online and in-class learning environments.  As a group\, you will consider other opportunities to put this versatile tool to use in your courses. \n9:30 am – 10:00 am: Meghan Corcoran will demonstrate the organizational capabilities of OneNote by highlighting page templates\, as well as the online storage of all teaching content through numerous Notebooks. She will demonstrate scheen sketching\, a calculator emulator\, notebook exports and organizing meeting notes\, too! \n10:00 am – 10:30 am: Jessica Grillanda has been teaching online for Cambrian College for the past few years. She will demonstrate how she lays out her online course\, describe some best practices for teaching online\, and show faculty how they can audit a week of her course. \n10:30 am – 11:00 am: Jason Corcoran’s showcase will provide an opportunity for faculty to explore the exciting potential for incorporating augmented reality (AR) into teaching and learning. While the presentation will focus on the use of AR in anatomy and physiology (A&P) teaching\, an opportunity will be provided to discuss additional future applications across various subject areas. Using an interactive approach\, attendees will take a tour of the heart and push the scope of anatomy and physiology teaching beyond diagrams and models. \nShare this:
