SUMMARY:Ethics and Social Justice in the Global Open Education Movement: Responding to What is Broken
DESCRIPTION:Join Taskeen Adam\, Maha Bali\, and Christina Hendricks online while they facilitate a session at the Creative Commons Summit 2019 online with Christian Friedrich onsite in Lisbon!\n\nHere’s an excerpt from the workshop description:\n\n“Over the past year\, educators from different parts of the world facilitated sessions at multiple conferences\, discussing ethical and social justice concerns within the global open education movement. In this workshop participants will review the results of those previous sessions and … discuss potential responses to one or more of these problems\, and will also commit to a list of concrete next steps they themselves will take.”We will start with a short presentation of the results and findings from the previous sessions and then split up for group work\, online as well as on-site. If you are interested\, you can see summaries of some previous sessions on ethics and social justice in open education\, that will be reported on in this workshop. The session will be run in Zoom. We will establish a live connection to the folks onsite at the #CCSummit\, collaborate online and present our work online and to folks onsite. \n\nJoin us in the Hub main space to participate in this learning opportunity! \nShare this:
