Alternate Assessment Strategies

Prework: Review University of Calgary’s Experiential Learning Online and Ideas for Registrants will be emailed a link on the morning of the session.Student Assessments documents and come prepared with questions and examples from your own courses.

In this 90 minute active workshop, Jess O’Reilly, Jenni Hayman, Parvinder Arora, will partner with interested faculty members to explore alternatives to midterm and final exams as heavily weighted evaluations. How else might you assess whether or not learners have achieved course learning outcomes? How can you assess differently and still manage your workload effectively?
